Generate the interest of potential employers with personal information. Templates are a great source of inspiration, but they should never be copied. Pay attention to your own recipes and thereby set yourself apart from the competition.
Cover letter tips:
- If possible, no more than one A4 page.
- Make sure your address and contact person are correct.
- Write how you found out about the job offer: refer to the job posting, an interview at a job fair, or a personal recommendation.
- Avoid subjunctive forms such as "could have" and "could have."
- Use active language with short and specific sentences.
- Make it clear why you are a good fit for the position. State your professional and personal qualifications.
- Include a possible start date if you wish.

- Respond to salary inquiries only when necessary.

- When applying online, add a scanned signature to the document. When applying for a letter, you sign your full name and last name.

This information should be included in your resume:
- Personal information with a photo
- Vocational training, studies
- Professional career, including internships
- Continuing and advanced training
- Specific knowledge and skills such as IT knowledge, foreign languages, interpersonal skills
- When applying by email or online, add a scanned signature to the document.
- Apply by letter, sign the seaman's resume with your full first and last name.
Some employers expect seafarer resume. They do not include a photo or any information that could be used to determine your gender or background.
